In the age of COVID-19, “Virtual Exhibitions” could be the main solution for Chinese SMEs to stabilize foreign trade business. Establishing an online networking platform and connecting local suppliers with global purchasers must be productive to stimulate economic growth.
On June 16, 2020, Huzhou Brand Digital Expo will officially launch with an opening ceremony organized by the Huzhou Branch of China Council of Promotion for International Trade and China Chamber of International Commerce, co-organized by the MIE Group. On the topic of "Creating Digital Foreign Trade", it aims at combining online and offline showcase to break space and time limit. The utilization of online statistics as collection, tracking and analysis would improve networking efficiency and give effective feedbacks to participants in time.
At present, Huzhou’s foreign trade exports account for a large share of Zhejiang’s foreign trade. According to China Customs, the export growth rate of Huzhou ranked third in Zhejiang province in 2017. While following “Belt and Road” initiative closely, Huzhou has achieved diversified development and featured export advantages. Among them, the export growth rate of mechanical and electrical products, office products and textiles has gradually increased. The specialty industry in Anji County has gone up by 18.9% throughout the year.
With more than 50 enterprises participating in this event, the whole exhibition will be based on online platform "Global Trade Week" (GTW) empowered by MIE Group. GTW will assist suppliers to showcase their range of products, communicate with visitors instantly, launch video conferences or start live screening. Purchaser can retrieve products and do real-time query for what they are interested in.
For the opening ceremony, Huzhou Municipal Government high-level officials and Vice President of MIE Group have confirmed their attendance as VIP speakers. This series of events will become a strong promoter to develop overseas business and get Huzhou enterprises through the challenging period.
